Flat Capital is carrying out a SEK 138 million rights issue secured to 77 per cent

19 July 2023

Flat Capital is an investment company with a genuine long-term perspective that invests in people who are passionate, dedicated, have potential and skin in the game. The company was founded in 2013 by the entrepreneurs Nina and Sebastian Siemiatkowski (founder and CEO of Milkywire and Klarna, respectively).

Since the IPO in 2021, Flat Capital has kept a fast pace and followed its strategy of investing in attractive but inaccessible global companies. These companies are an asset often reserved for an exclusive group of investors, but the strategy has given Flat Capital’s shareholders the opportunity to invest in companies such as OpenAI, Figma, Discord, DeepL, Getir, and Quartr.

The company has now decided on a rights issue of approximately SEK 138.2 million to be able to take advantage of the opportunities in the company’s pipeline. Dusco AB (the Douglas Family) and AltoCumulus are anchor investors with subscription commitments amounting to SEK 80.0 million. In total, the rights issue is secured to approximately SEK 106.7 million (77.2 per cent) through subscription commitments and intentions to subscribe. The company has the possibility to increase the issue amount by up to SEK 72.0 million if the rights issue is oversubscribed.

Augment is acting as financial advisor to Flat Capital in connection with the rights issue.
