Flat Capital raises SEK 153 million in its oversubscribed rights issue

1 september 2023

Flat Capital is an investment company with a genuine long-term perspective that invests in people who are passionate, dedicated, have potential and skin in the game. The company was founded in 2013 by the entrepreneurs Nina and Sebastian Siemiatkowski (founder and CEO of Milkywire and Klarna, respectively).

Since the IPO in 2021, Flat Capital has kept a fast pace and followed its strategy of investing in attractive but inaccessible global companies. These companies are an asset often reserved for an exclusive group of investors, but the strategy has given Flat Capital’s shareholders the opportunity to invest in companies such as OpenAI, Figma, Discord, DeepL, Getir, and Quartr.

Flat Capital has now concluded a rights issue of B shares which was subscribed to approximately 110.6 per cent by existing owners and new investors, including anchor investors Dusco AB (the Douglas Family) and AltoCumulus.

Through the rights issue and the over-allotment issue, the company receives approximately SEK 152.9 million. The net proceeds will be used for new investments, both in new companies and in existing holdings.

Augment acted as financial advisor to Flat Capital in connection with the rights issue.
